I purchased this product (first time buying a waist cincher) to try and reduce my waist size. I am an athlete and do my best to stay fit, but I have never had much of a defined waist. I ordered the P as, per the chart, I was right in between a P and Small. I am 5'2", 118lbs, with 27" waist and a size 2 dress. The garment was just a little too small to be wearable for 8-10 hours as indicated. It pulled and wrinkled a bit so I feared I wouldn't be able to wear it under anything but baggy clothing. I must admit, the rubber smell was quite potent. I'm not sure if that goes away after washing or with time, but I would hate to smell like that all day. I will exchange for a small and see how it goes.
