Effective-YES!!! But very uncomfortable--wear camisole underneath...

I have never worn a waist cincher before. I have a small waist (25 inch) but I'm trying to get a ridiculously small waist (hopefully below 24 inches). When I opened the package, I never thought it would fit. It really does take effort and a good five minutes to close it. I wore it on my bare skin and it was a little painful. I remembered that one of the reviewers recommended wearing a thin tank underneath it, works like a charm. I don't find the product to be comfortable like other reviewers claim but I find it to be effective. Actually, I find it very uncomfortable. I bought the XS and it is super tight. While I'm wearing it my 25 inch waist is reduced to a 23 inch waist. After I take it off, my waist is about 1/2 inch smaller. I just received the product so I don't know how long that effect lasts. However, the hook and eye closure in the front shows through most clothes so I don't think I would wear it to go out. For now, I'm wearing it under loose workout clothes and around the house. I would love to sleep in it but it's still too uncomfortable for now. Bottom line: Not comfortable/slightly painful but very effective. Since I care about effectiveness (I don't believe that something can instantly shrink your waist two inches and still be comfortable) I give the product 5 stars.
