When I first put this on, I was not that impressed because I did not feel strong compression. However, when I looked in the mirror, I had a nice smooth shape, and my belly was flatter. Not completely flat, but that's hard to achieve in a garment that also has to stretch enough to get over your hips. I bought this to go under a thick jersey wiggle dress, which without shapewear I had panty lines, bra lines, and my belly was a little too visible. This full-body shaper did the trick, and hides my bra lines and makes my hips and belly look a little smoother. I might prefer something tighter, but for that I'd probably need something with a midsection zipper, which would most likely show through this dress. For the price, this is a pretty good bargain, since the really good stuff gets expensive fast. This is a very basic full-body shaper that I can probably wear under a lot of things.
Overall I'm happy. I could wish for some tighter control, especially since this is marketed as firm. I consider this to be more medium control. However, I did go up a size. I am a curvy size 4 (5' 5", 140), and the XS was way too tight and would not fit over my hips. The description of the fit above is of the size S (stated for sizes 6-8), and may be why the midsection did not fit as tight as I'd like. Women who are straighter may not have to size up, and may not experience the slight dissatisfaction that I did. |
